This month’s employee spotlight features “Lou” Corso. Lou is our spirited controller and holds a black belt in all things financial. Among many contributions (i.e. company nurse, life coach, master of one-liners) she mostly spends her days managing project costs, billing, account receivables, HR items, and audits.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I enjoy singing (studied voice most of my life) and also like to do oil paintings. My great-grandfather taught me how to paint.
If you could time travel, where would you be right now?
I would like to be in my 40s with the knowledge I have now.
Who gives you the best advice?
My husband, JP. We’ve been married for 42 good years.
Are you a morning person or night owl?
I’m a morning person. I like to get all of my work accomplished early so that the evenings are mine.
You’ve got an impressive tenure at Nello, what’s kept you here so long?
It’s been a fast 21 years. I’ve always enjoyed working for a family-owned company and the atmosphere that comes with it.
When you’re not in the office, one might find you…
On the golf course (The Links at Cotton Valley) or in my rose garden.
Will the Pens win the Stanley Cup this year?
Of course. The keys to victory against the Boston Bruins are #9, #24, and #58.
